Mothers Day Card

I made a Mother's Day card for my Mom.  I wanted to use unconventional colors so I borrowed the color challenge from Fab Friday Challenges - Fab Friday 40. I substituted Daffodil Delight for Summer Starfruit to make it a little brighter for spring. I CASE'd the card design from Celebrando Creatividad SU mini (2013-2014).

Here is another variation.

Some of my favorite cards

I just wanted to share some of my favorite cards before I gave them away - because that's what they are for, giving away, right?

I think I like looking at them so much its hard to give them away and know they are probably going to be thrown away.

Then I realized that when i send a card that has been given love and attention it shows those, to whom I send one, that i care.  They can feel it even if they don't see all the detail. I cared enough to send a thank you on a card I spent time and consideration in making - what better way to say thank you.

My first card post

I am setting on a new path to blog my creations and inspiration. I will do my best to post original content and give credit to my inspiration. Here goes ...

This card is based off Stampin' Up products. I was enamored with the new In Colors, especially the new Summer Starfruit.  When I first saw the green-tinted yellow I didn't like it but, now I am seeing inspiration for it everywhere.  The new yellow has a vintage feel to it and lends itself very well to antique and vintage designs.  It is now my favorite color :)

Here are the specs:

Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Whisper White;  Stamps: Everything Eleanor, Notable Alpha; Ink: Summer Starfruit, Midnight Muse, Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake; Ribbon: Midnight Muse; Diecut: Framelits Apothecary Accents.
